Old Dominion posted a sneak peek of another unreleased anthem on Tuesday (May 27).
The record-breaking group shared a 30-second audio clip on Instagram and TikTok teasing “new music.” Old Dominion simply captioned the clip with a lyric from the unreleased song, “it ain’t from a lack of tryin.” Commenters already declared the song “another banger,” applauded the “powerful” lyrics and eagerly anticipated an album announcement. At least one eagle-eyed commenter noticed the top of the clip reads “File 2 of 13,” seemingly indicating additional unreleased songs. Old Dominion, however, simply replied with an emoji of a pair of eyes. The band did not confirm a release date for new music as of publication time on Wednesday (May 28).
Old Dominion — made up of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi — previously teased a few other unreleased tracks. Most recently, the reigning Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year and Academy of Country Music Group of the Year delivered “Me Most Nights” and “Making Good Time.” The group recently kicked off their headlining “How Good Is That World Tour” with ERNEST and special guest Redferrin.
