Morgan Wallen confirmed his first-ever female duet partner is pop star Tate McRae after she shared a cryptic teaser the prompted rumors among eagle-eyed fans.

Wallen announced on Wednesday afternoon (April 16) that he’s teaming up with McRae, Erich Church, HARDY, ERNEST and Post Malone on his highly-anticipated fourth studio record , I’m The Problem, which is due to release next month. Wallen co-wrote 22 of the 37 tracks on the massive project, and teamed up with nearly 50 powerhouse songwriters, “curating a tracklist that's both deeply personal and resonant, while viewing life events through a different lens than he's used in the past,” per a press release issued Wednesday.

“A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” Wallen said in a statement of the writing and refining process. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I haven't said in this record, which I'm really, really proud of.”

So far, Wallen has released the title track, “Just In Case,” “Love Somebody,” “Smile,” “Lies Lies Lies” and “I’m A Little Crazy.” Next, he’s releasing “I Ain’t Comin’ Back” with Post Malone, two artist’s second collaboration since “I Had Some Help” appeared on Post’s F-1 Trillion.

Fans have also been eager to discover Wallen’s first female duet partner after the East Tennesse-born country star shared a rare response to a post on X, formerly Twitter. Someone asked Wallen last week, “[Morgan Wallen], please please PLEASE confirm ‘What I Want’ is a duet. You haven’t yet sang with any female artists on any of your first three albums, so PLEASE tell me this is the case.” Wallen simply replied: “Indeed sir.” Initial guesses included Miranda LambertLainey WilsonElla Langley and Megan Moroney, to name a few.

I’m The Problem will release on May 16, the first day of Wallen’s sold out, three-day Sand In My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Wallen will headline the event with Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn and HARDY. After that, he’s hitting the road on his “I’m The Problem Tour” with a rotating lineup that includes Brooks & DunnMiranda LambertThomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel as direct support, and Gavin AdcockCorey KentElla Langley and Anne Wilson on select dates.
