Like so many of us, after a long day of work, Craig Paulk of Texas likes to stop by Long John Silverβs for some comfort food. Right?
Having had a front tooth break a few years ago, Craig has a partial denture, which heβs always careful to wrap up in a napkin and set on the table while he eats.
Well, a couple of weeks ago, Craig had just finished up his tasty meal and was out in his car getting ready to leave when he realized that heβd thrown his denture in the napkin away. Certainly concerned by the potential $600 replacement cost, he ran back inside and asked the manager, Stella Magano, if he could grab the garbage bag and take it so he could retrieve his denture. But she wouldnβt have it. Despite his protests, the manager put on some gloves and sifted through the garbage herself.
Sure enough, Stella found Craigβs denture and returned it to him.
But that wasnβt the end of the story! Last week, he returned to the restaurant with TV reporter Ryan Wolf, host of the βCASH FOR KINDNESSβ segment on the local Fox-TV affiliate. Wolf surprised Stella with $1,000 as a reward for her selfless act of kindness. The teary-eyed manager was grateful for the recognition, saying, "No one's ever done this before. And itβs great."
