Almost a year ago, McDonald’s announced the “farewell tour” of its iconic McRib sandwich. This, of course, was met by sadness by fans of the here today, gone tomorrow menu item.
But things have changed!
It looks like the McRib is returning to menus once again. It has never been a permanent menu item and would show up annually around Halloween time in the past. Well, despite the "farewell tour" promotions from 2022, it looks like it will return from retirement.
McDonald’s has confirmed to Today.com that it’s coming back after being rumored on social media for weeks.
Details are still hazy, but it appears that it will return to select McDonald’s locations starting in November. The McRib consists of a boneless pork patty dipped in BBQ sauce topped with slivered onions and pickles and served on a toasted homestyle bun. It has always been loved by some customers but hated by others but it’s an iconic Mickey D’s item so keep your eyes peeled for its return in your area.
