A Georgia mom is saluting a Chick-fil-A worker because the worked saved her daughter’s life.
Liliana Leahy was making a pit stop at the local Chick-fil-A in Newnan, Georgia, when her little girl, Theia, began choking on something. The mom panicked and began to scream. This quickly drew the attention of drive-thru employee Mia, who rushed to help.
As Liliana froze with fear, Mia performed the Heimlich maneuver on Theia, which dislodged a coin the little girl had been choking on. All the relieved mother could manage to do in that moment was hug her daughter and be grateful that Mia had been there to save her life!
After the incident, Mia treated Theia to an ice cream. Liliana felt like she didn’t get a chance to properly thank Mia, so she took to social media to connect with the worker.
She posted, "I can’t thank Mia enough for saving Theia. She was at the right place today and didn’t hesitate for even a second."
The two later connected over the phone so she could thank Mia again for her life-saving deed.
