Way over in Indonesia, a woman decided that she would rather pretend to be dead and gone than pay back the $268 she owed someone.
The woman, Liza Dewi Pramita, had already skipped out on paying back creditor Maya Gunawan by the first deadline. Then, just prior to the second deadline issued by Gunawan, she saw on Facebook that Pramita had passed away. The social media post even showed a picture of the dead woman, complete with balls of cotton shoved up her nostrils, which is apparently a sign that proves you are dead? I guess? Quite the elaborate photo show I must say...
Anyway, Gunawan become suspicious when Pramita’s son posted that his mama would be laid to rest in a location that was unusually far away from where she supposedly lived. So, Gunawan went and confronted the boy, and that is when he admitted that dear ol' mom wasn’t really dead.
As of now, Gunawan still has yet to receive her $268 back. I'll keep you posted.
