Meeting people and dating can be challenging, but it’s even tougher when you’re a single parent. That’s why Match is rolling out a new dating app, Stir, that aims to get rid of some of the barriers of dating as a single mom or dad.
There are around 20-million single parents in the U.S. and according to Match, that community is “oftentimes underserved on mainstream dating apps.” So Stir, which launched on National Single Parent Day, focuses on connecting single parents and meeting their specific needs. The app allows moms and dads to:
- Compare their schedules and show what their “me time” typically is, so matches can coordinate calendars easily.
- Match based on questions about their personality and values.
- Have a dating experience where they feel like they can be themselves.
