Looking to relieve the stress of the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, a bus driver from Chicago decided to jump in Lake Michigan last year. Brrr! Then he did it again the next day... and the next day... And this past Saturday, he celebrated 365 straight days of jumping into Lake Michigan!
Dan O’Connor said he began his daily jump journey by taking a leap into the lake at Montrose Harbor on the Chicago's North Side June 12th of 2020 to simply relieve stress. He did it daily throughout the Summer and then into he fall. But then, the lake water temperature dropped in Winter and he kept on jumping in. He even had to cut a hole in the ice when Lake Michigan froze over just so he could jump in
