Comic Facing Legal Trouble After Hitting Golf Balls In National Parks

There are some things that sound like a good idea at the time, but later turn out to be a really bad idea.

That applies to comedian Jake Adams, who had the idea of hitting golf balls in national parks as part of his goal to hit golf shots in all 50 states within 30 days.

He hit shots in Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and Mount Rushmore, and now he’s under federal investigation for violating park rules, specifically the rule about not leaving anything behind in a national park…like golf balls you hit into woods while you made videos for social media. Violations can result in penalties of up to six months in prison and a $500 fine for each offense.

No charges have been filed so far, but Adams has been on Instagram telling everyone to not hit golf balls into national parks.
