A couple from India were desperate to tie the knot but with lockdown restrictions and social distancing measures in place, they came up with an alternative plan for their big day.
The pair had their ceremony onboard a flight on Sunday.
The plane took off at 7am, with a guest list far exceeding the state government's stipulated 50 people for such gatherings. Footage shows the couple standing at the front of the aisle and exchanging their vows in front of a packed plane filled with their friends and family. Following the wedding, the plane landed and the couple headed to a hotel for a small reception.
All of the guests had allegedly taken and passed a COVID test before boarding the flight. Police in India are reportedly looking into the matter and deciding whether or not to launch an investigation.
