You’re probably familiar with the Tiger King, but there’s apparently more than one.
Victor Hugo Cuevas, known as ‘Houston’s Tiger King,’ was arrested Monday night while out on bail connected to his arrest for the July 2017 murder of a University of Houston dental student. Why did they arrest him this time? He’s charged with felony evading arrest after throwing a 9-month-old white Bengal tiger named India into the back of his Jeep and running from officers when they responded to reports of the tiger roaming loose in the neighborhood.
While they did catch up with Cuevas, the official release says “the tiger’s whereabouts are still unknown”, which is one uncomfortable sentence for the city of Houston.
