A woman in Elkton, Maryland apparently had enough of…something. She lived in a home with three other people and is accused of setting numerous fires in the home while one of the other residents was in the basement.
Witnesses say she set the fires, then walked outside and sat in a lawn chair on the front yard with a book as the fire engulfed the home.
Gail J. Metwally has been charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Arson, 1st Degree Assault, two counts of 1st Degree Malicious Burning, two counts of Malicious Destruction of Property, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment. She’s currently being held at the Cecil County Detention Center pending a hearing.
