A pair of young siblings in Michigan are being praised for their integrity after returning a thousand dollars they found on the side of the road. Elizabeth Kunz, 14 and her 12-year-old brother, Aiden were outside exercising as part of their virtual gym class when they made a surprising find. They were picking up trash along the side of the road during their walk and found a chip bag with the money stashed inside.
The kids immediately took the cash to their parents and the family turned it in to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. And it turns out the money had been stolen during a bank robbery that happened January 22nd at a Fifth Third Bank in Bangor Township. Deputies say the suspect was arrested the following day in Pennsylvania and that he had ditched some of the stolen cash on the road beforehand.
