The fast food chicken sandwich wars don't appear to be letting up anytime soon. McDonald’s is set to debut three chicken sandwiches next week, and now Burger King is ready to enter the battle.
BK just announced that they too will be adding a chicken sandwich to their menu, with theirs featuring a hand-breaded breast "for a bite that is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.” The sandwich comes on a toasted potato bun, with pickles and a savory sauce, and customers have a choice to make it spicy, and add lettuce and tomato.
So far Burger King only says the sandwich will be added to menus “later this year,” noting theirs “will be worth the wait.” It’s reportedly been in development since 2019, and has been tested in Miami, among other cities, since September.
