A particular bird flying the skies of North Texas apparently has a drinking problem.
The bird is called The Cedar Waxwing and it's apparently getting drunk on old, fermented berries. A Texas Department of Parks employee says: "Because they eat predominantly berries, sometimes they eat berries that have fermented and are a little bit past their prime. Sometimes they tend to overindulge a little bit, which can get them intoxicated."
The birds have beautiful feathers and are really a sight to see. But if they get 'drunk' on the berries, they can get disoriented and act uncoordinated and fly into things, plus create more bird droppings than usual.
Officials are giving some advice to residents: walk around with an umbrella!
