We kicked off 2021 in our favorite place, Blowing Rock, North Carolina. It was a longer than normal weekend, so here's a quick look at some of the fun we had while in the High Country.
Here's Jenny and I in front of Rumple Memorial Church, where we got married in November of 2003. We have a wedding photo standing on the same steps.
Here's my son Casey with his (ice) snow man he made from what was left on the ground from a massive Christmas snow fall.
We were able to snag tickets to the last train ride of the year at Tweetsie Railroad. That past few years, they decorated the park with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Christmas lights and decorations. We hopped on board at 8:50 on New Years Eve to see the lights and sing Christmas songs. And maybe have a hot chocolate or two.
We left on Monday morning, and the sunrise that day was brilliant.
We went up to see snow. and only got teased Sunday afternoon and Monday morning with a dusting. Here's Jenny and the boys (prepared to return to FLA in their shorts!) standing in the massive snow fall. LOL!
