A retired North Carolina police officer has been busy doing acts of kindness in his community. Benson Ratlif has given away $25-hundred in cash to strangers in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
He says he’s not rich, but that giving to people in need “feels good.” Ratliff went from car to car handing out money to people in line at a mobile food pantry. Mariano Martinez was one of the lucky recipients and says the generous gesture “touched our hearts.”
The retired Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer says everyone was very appreciative and that “being able to give back or pass it forward is really important to me.”
