Orkin has just released their annual Top 50 Mosquitoes Cities List, and while their top city is the same as TruGreen’s, the rest of their list is quite different. For the fifth year in a row, Atlanta, Georgia tops Orkin’s list, with Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas coming in second. Texas seems to be particularly bad for those pesky skeeters, landing seven cities on the list, with Florida and Louisiana each landing four.
As for when we should be bugged by mosquitoes the most, breeding season lasts from July through September, but folks need to be particularly worried from late August through September or October, which is peak West Nile virus season.
