Taco Bell is always tweaking their menu and adding new options for us to try when we run for the border, and they really nailed it with their new fries. Customers waited a long time for these to show up on menus and now the Nacho Fries have been crowned the chain’s most successful new menu item, even knocking out the Doritos Locos Taco that sold 100-million tacos in 10 weeks when it came out in 2012.
Since the Nacho Fries hit restaurants January 25th, the seasoned potatoes have been a top-seller, with more than 53-million orders sold in the first five weeks. Taco Bell’s spokesman says they’re seeing fries in one of every three orders.
I live about a half-mile from a Taco Bell in Vero Beach and have yet to drive through and get some. Looks like I need to hurry! Taco Bell confirms they’re only around for a limited-time, but they’ll be on the menu at least through early April.
