Listeners React to Lunchbox’s Game Show Appearance

The Bobby Bones Show heard listener reactions after Lunchbox appeared as a contestant on The Price Is Right.

Bobby Bones explained that Lunchbox had recently appeared on the show, where he won several prizes, including shoes, a home gym, a trip to Temecula, California, and a desktop computer. Bobby noticed on his Instagram, some viewers mistakenly thought he was the one appearing on the show, explaining that people messaged him directly without realizing it was Lunchbox that appeared, not him. Bobby read a message he received from a viewer who criticized Lunchbox, calling him “obnoxious,” “an idiot,” and saying they were glad he lost the showcase.

Lunchbox acknowledged that reactions were mixed. He said there was even a Reddit thread questioning whether he had been using cocaine during the show. Bobby noted that viewers familiar with him from The Bobby Bones Show likely enjoyed his performance, while others were split in their opinions. Lunchbox also said some viewers believed he was a planted contestant, which he denied, stating he earned his spot by simply being himself. Despite the criticism, Lunchbox said he was not bothered. He was excited during the show, describing himself as energetic and enthusiastic, and added that he enjoyed the experience.

The group also discussed the financial side of the winnings. Lunchbox estimated he would pay around $600 to $657 in taxes. While initially stating his total winnings were around $21,000, he later corrected himself, saying the value was closer to $12,000 and then recalculated it to approximately $8,000 to $9,000. He broke down the prizes, noting the trip to Temecula was worth about $3,300, the computer around $2,000, and the home gym approximately $1,300. He planned to keep most of the items, but considered displaying at least one pair of shoes in his home. The show members suggested he keep memorabilia such as his name tag and cue card from the show, similar to items he has from his previous appearance on Family Feud. His prizes will be shipped within a few weeks after the episode aired. For the trip, he explained he would need to provide three possible travel dates, with the show selecting one. The trip includes three days and three nights in Temecula, California wine country at a resort.

The discussion also touched on Lunchbox’s real name being revealed during the show. Bobby explained that hearing “Daniel” instead of “Lunchbox” felt unusual, and Lunchbox agreed it was awkward and he's a little bummed it had to be out there.
