John Driskell Hopkins, a founding member of Zac Brown Band, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease) in December 2021. In response, John and his wife Jennifer founded the charity Hop on a Cure to fund research on the disease.
