Forget the malls, the Broward Humane Society in Ft. Lauderdale in celebrating black FURRDAY today. Spokeswoman Cherie Wachter says all pets a year or older are half-priced and select pets will be free. She says last year they had a record-breaking weekend with 54 pets adopted in all. She says they will be extremely busy, so fill out the pet adoption application online before you come in. Every pet comes with free spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and a microchip. Plus, one bag of pet food until supplies last.
