Broward Commissioners making a final decision tonight on the two-billion-dollar budget taking effect next month. And since property values are up, the big question is how high will county taxes go. Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing for the question to come up on the next ballot. As home values go up, properties are assessed at a higher value which means more tax revenue for local governments. While some counties return it to taxpayers he accuses others, like Broward, of taking it. He says Broward has seen a sixty-percent budget increase without a net population growth over the last five years.
