With just over two weeks until the new hurricane season, Miami-Dade's mayor is asking everyone to be prepared for extreme weather. Daniella Levine Cava says today marks the start of the rainy and heat seasons. Heat season runs from today until October. Anyone who's not feeling well over the summer months should drink water, find shade and rest. The mayor also advising residents to prepare their hurricane kits and gather their insurance information now so they're not scrambling at the last minute.
