A Martin County man is accused of posing as an ICE agent and threatening to deport people.

Martin County Sheriff's Major Ruben Romero says 25-year old Jose Juan Lopez targeted two victims who were driving along a roadway in Indiantown Thursday.

"Our victim was driving his van picking up some of his coworkers, getting ready for the day when they had a male in a silver Ford pickup truck approach them. They were at a stop, picking up some of the other workers and he kind of cut them off. He jumped out of his car."

Lopez was dressed in pajama pants, a backwards hat and a T-shirt.

Lopez claims the other two men were threatening him and denied posing as an ICE agent. He did admit to making deportation threats however.

Lopez was arrested and charged with impersonating a federal agent.
