While Uber is great, if you have a lot of places to go it can be a pain to constantly have to call a ride each time you’re done at a stop. Well, that’s no longer going to be a problem.
The ride sharing app has just launched a new service they’re calling “Uber Hourly,” a new pay-by-the-hour service in which customers can hire a personal driver, paying $50 an hour, and during that time they can make as many stops as they want, with the driver committed to them for the whole time. Even better, the drivers can be booked for up to eight hours at a time.
Uber passengers have always had the option to book a driver for multiple stops, it’s the $50 set rate that’s different with the new service. Folks can book it just like they do a regular Uber, with “Uber Hourly” listed below Uber Pool, UberX and UberXL.
So far the service is only available in 12 cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Seattle, Orlando and Philadelphia. It is expected to come to more cities in the coming weeks.
