Report: NBA Could Play Out All Remaining Games At Disney World

Here’s a switch: going to Disney World before you win the NBA title.

But if the NBA goes with the latest plan that has surfaced for salvaging the currently suspended season—that may be exactly where the Finals go through.

Since calling wrestling an “essential service” and welcoming the golf match featuring Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning scheduled around Memorial Day—Florida is increasingly becoming a safe haven for professional sports as the U.S. continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

And the NBA has taken notice apparently, as The Athletic reported last night that “one possible playing ground for NBA if finishing season becomes safe for league and players [is] Walt Disney World Resort property in Orlando.”

Sure makes sense! Disney has all the necessary hotels and facilities that would allow players and team personnel to prepare for and complete games while remaining quarantined from the outside world.
