Man Robs Donut Shop With A Hatchet

Police in Oregon say that a man wielding an ax robbed a donut store and didn't want any money, just the donuts.

That may be a bit extreme for robbing a donut shop but police in Portland, Oregon say that's exactly what 40-year-old Christopher James did. James allegedly jumped over the counter of a 24-hour Voodoo Doughnut shop in downtown Portland, filled a box with doughnuts and then fled on foot, leaving his hatchet behind and the cash register untouched.

Police found him about a block away eating a doughnut and holding a pink box from the doughnut shop. He was charged with first-degree robbery.
