Nearly a dozen people came together to lift an SUV to rescue a woman who was trapped underneath after being run over in New York City. Footage posted on Twitter shows a crowd of onlookers rushing to a black SUV on the Lower East Side and tilting it on its side to pull the pedestrian out.
Colby Droscher, who posted the video, says he was about a block away when he heard the crash and people screaming. “All of a sudden everyone ran to lift the car,” he explains. “It all happened so fast.”
A police spokesperson didn’t share any details about the incident and the person’s condition is unclear.
