Kane Brown revealed he “got screwed” out of millions of dollars because of a bad deal earlier in his career.

The award-winning artist caught up with Bobby Bones on an episode of The BobbyCast that premiered on Thursday (March 19). During the conversation, Brown said he “was kind of forced” to sign his record deal, and he “just now redid my deal to make it kind of fair. …That’s why I’ve been worried my whole career, because I’m like, I’m not getting what I should.If it all went away today, I think I’d be fine, but I don’t have what a lot of people think I have.”

“How much money do you think you’ve given away that you probably shouldn’t have had to give away?” Bobby asked.

Brown replied, “$10 million. I asked my business manager. I got screwed out of that.

“I’m blessed with what I have,” he said, when asked how he refrains from staying angry. “I could still be at FedEx. I can support my family. we’d be living a little differently. I’d be able to give a little more away. but it is what it is. God’s got a plan for me.”

Most recently, Brown released “Woman,” an upbeat anthem that he loves “so much I could cry listening to it.” He teamed up with songwriters John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson and Taylor Delmar Phillips to write it. The Dann Huff-produced single is Brown’s first to arrive since “Unspoken” and “2 Pair” last year. His latest studio album, The High Road, included “Fiddle in the Band,” “Backseat Driver,” “Miles On It” with Marshmello, two duets with wife Katelyn Brown, and more.
