It’s never fun for a kid to be in the hospital, but being stuck there during the holidays is definitely worse. And that’s where Carlos Rolon finds himself this year, at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he’ll stay while he waits for a heart transplant.
The six-year-old was born with an abnormality in his heart and his mom, Sheena Cossette, says he’s been waiting for three-and-a-half years, but after getting sick in August, he’s been confined to the hospital. So in an effort to make Christmas as special as possible, the family is asking for people to send holiday cards to decorate Carlos’ hospital room.
