A Michigan woman is singing her nephew’s praises after he returned her winning lottery to her. The unnamed Alpena County woman told Michigan Lottery officials that she was out of town visiting relatives when she bought some scratch off tickets and forgot to take them with her when she left.
Her nephew called to let her know and she asked him to scratch them off for her, never thinking one might be a winner. But one was - a $300,000 winner in fact. And being from a family “full of jokesters,” she says she didn’t even believe him until he sent her a photo of the winning ticket.
Now the lucky aunt plans to reward her nephew for his honesty and helpfulness. She says, “I’m going to buy myself a new car, help out my family -- including my nephew -- and then save the remainder.”
