Hurricane Maria Evacuees Reunited With Pets In Orlando On Sunday

For families in Puerto Rico, their world was turned upside down after Hurricane Maria devasted the island almost a year ago. Many had to evacuate and leave their most prized possessions behind including some furry friends!

However, the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando wanted to change all that. The local animal rescue flew in 56 dogs and 3 cats to be reunited with their owners in Orlando this past Sunday. One man even traveled all the way from Texas to be reunited with his dog!

WFTV 9 shared a number of photos of all the dogs and cats rescued! All the photos are available here. Can you imagine being apart from your pup for this long? We sure can't!
