A pest control company found over 700 pounds of acorns inside the walls of a home in Glen Ellen, California. And you might at first think it was because a family of squirrels had infiltrated the home. But not so fast!

The business "Nick’s Extreme Pest Control" reported on their Facebook page that the actual culprit was a woodpecker! Yep, good ol' Woody was making holes in the walls of the outside of the house in an attempt to store food. Only problem for the woodpecker, the acorns kept falling into the spaces in the walls. That's where they were simply piling up!

The homeowners say that they are adding vinyl siding to the home. The hope is that extra layer will make it more challenging for the woodpecker to peck a hole and use their home as storage unit.
