Mac Pascual is a Filipino web designer who wanted to pass his trade down to his newborn son. That’s why he named the boy “Hypertext Mark-Up Language,” or “HTML” for short.
This big news has led friends, family, and other social media users to suggest names for future children such as “JavaScript.”
Apparently, unusual names aren’t uncommon in the Pascual clan, as Mac says his name is short for “Macaroni ‘85” and his sister’s “official” name is “Spaghetti ’88.” Incidentally, her two kids are named Cheese Pimiento and Parmesan Cheese.
So, um, okay?
