Paul Grisham lost his wallet 53-years ago and somehow it was just returned to him. Mr. Grisham of San Diego is 91-years-old and in 1967 he arrived in Antarctica as a Navy meteorologist but at some point during his 13-month assignment, he lost his wallet and eventually forgot about it. Until last week.
When he went to retrieve his mail, he had a package that contained his long lost wallet. Grisham said, "I was just blown away." It appears the wallet was found in 2014 when a building at McMurdo Station on Antarctica's Ross Island was being demolished.
Since that time, a whole host of people worked to track Mr. Grisham down through various groups, including the Naval Weather Service Association, which he is a part of.
