Boy Raises Over $300K For Police Dog Bulletproof Vests

When young Brady Snakovsky learned that not all police dogs get bulletproof vests, he was worried about the pups not being as protected as their human counterparts. That's when the 8-year-old decided to do something about it and start Brady's K9 Fund, which is a nonprofit to provide bulletproof vests for police and military dogs.

In two years, the now 10-year-old from Ohio has raised an incredible amount for his cause that he’s so passionate about - over $315-thousand! That money has supplied more than 250 police dogs with vests in 23 different states as well as Canada. Plus he’s helped military dogs in Afghanistan to get them, too.

In addition to fundraising for the bulletproof vests, Brady’s taken on a local project closer to home. With help from his community, he created a dog park in Brunswick, Ohio and it’s closed one day a week to give police dogs a place to train with their handlers.
