A collection of unrecorded Gary Stewart songs has finally seen the light of day thanks to Mike and the Moonpies.
Thanks to the efforts of Gary's daughter Shannon and the caretaker of Gary's collection, Tommy Schwartz, these songs written by the King of the Honky Tonks have finally seen the light of day. An album of these songs has been recorded by the independent band Mike and the Moonpies. "Touch Of You: The Lost Songs of Gary Stewart" was released on May 28th, the late Gary Stewart's birthday.
Among the outstanding songs on the collection (which is only available digitally right now) is a song featuring Mark Wystrach, the lead singer of Midland.
