A pair of 91-year-old Florida lovebirds weren't about to let the coronavirus get in their way. The couple wanted to “legalize” their love in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak and got married in a small ceremony in the backyard of their pastor in Florida.
Jeanine and Don Sandin, of St. Petersburg, got hitched on Easter Sunday after realizing the need to take their bond to the next level in case one of them needs to be hospitalized.
The couple, who bought their rings online, tied the knot and kept the guest list small, but announcements were emailed out to more than 200 people. The pair, both of whom were widowed, said their shared sense of humor and common upbringing made them realize they were right for each other.
