A Florida family is finding a way to stick together during the coronavirus health crisis. Allison and Mike Leatzow of Tallahassee have been separated from their son Andrew since March 20th, when the special-needs facility where he lives went on a mandatory 30-day lockdown.
They can’t go inside to see him, but still visit him every day and try to make the best of the situation. The mom, dad, and Andrew’s younger brother Jack get to see each other through the facility’s large sliding glass door. The family also plays Andrew’s favorite game - Uno.
Allison says this is teaching her family a valuable lesson. “We’ll never take for granted that last hug we have with one another,” she says.
