After the news of French’s partnering with Coolhaus on a mustard ice cream, now Oscar Mayer is doing their best to one-up that combo. The hot dog maker has unveiled its latest creation: a hot dog-flavored ice cream sandwich with spicy Dijon mustard gelato and candied hot dog pieces. Are they trying to ruin our summer?
Oscar Mayer took to Twitter to share the news, writing: “Who eats just mustard @Frenchs? Condiments were made for Oscar Mayer hot dogs. Say hello to the Oscar Mayer Ice Dog Sandwich-flavored ice cream, made with our better hot dogs, sandwiched with spicy mustard.”
The hot dog ice cream sandwich is heading to New York City the week of August 12th, where the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be giving the Ice Dogs for free. So look for the giant hot dog-shaped vehicle, if you dare to try one.
