To celebrate Pizza Hut’s first year as the official pizza of the Super Bowl, they’re changing their name. No, it’s not “Pizza Bowl” or “Super Pizza Hut,” but it is a pun that may take longer for those of us who aren’t huge football fans to get. Pizza Hut is now being called “Pizza Hut Hut,” at least temporarily.
For my fellow non-sportsing types, the name refers to “hut, hut, hike” - words typically shouted by the quarterback before a play to signal the team to be ready. Pizza Hut has already changed their website and a location in Atlanta, where the Super Bowl is being played this year, is temporarily changing its signage to the football-centric name.
