Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina took home a CMT Award last night for Best Collaborative Music Video. They won for their #1 song, "What If's". If you've heard the song then you know it is definitely a love song and the music video was no different. Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina explain that it was very awkward to film!
Although Kane and Lauren are longtime pals and former classmates, they are definitely not a couple! Kane Brown is engaged to his fiancé, Katelyn, and Lauren Alaina has been in a longtime relationship with her boyfriend, Alex. This being said if you've seen the music video for the song, you know how close the two have to get in it.
Kane shares this about the filming,
"For me in the video, honestly, just having to look at somebody for however long, all day that we recorded it. That was probably the weirdest part."
Lauren shared, not about the video, but about her and Kane's ACM performance. In this performance, the two "almost" kiss. Lauren said she actually had to warn her boyfriend about the kiss before he saw it happen.
Kane and Lauren did both say that receiving last night's award together was an extremely special moment for their friendship. Congratulations you two!
