Mysterious Rumble Hits Florida's Space Coast

Scientists are still trying to figure out what the strange rumble was Florida's Space Coast felt last Friday, but they have officially said it was not an earthquake.

The rumble shook portions of Merritt Island, Viera, Cocoa, and Lake Marty around 6:00 pm on Friday, March 8th. Residents thought maybe they missed a mission takeoff from Kennedy Space Center, but there was no launch planned for that day.

Witnesses also say the shake didn't last for more than 20 seconds.

This is the second bizarre event in less than a month for the Space Coast. They recently witnessed a large, green meteor strike across the night sky before exploding over the ocean.

As of right now, this Space Coast mystery remains unsolved. Seismologists did say,

"whatever the rumble was that hit Brevard County, it did not originate in the ground".
