According to Tinder, 3 out of 4 singles speak with friends and family about their dating life multiple times a month. So now, the world’s most popular dating app is helping users get that feedback in an instant with a new feature: Tinder Matchmaker.
With the new feature, friends and family... yes, even your mom, can play Cupid! Using Tinder Matchmaker, loved ones can suggest potential matches for you, and here’s how it works:
- A “matchmaking session” can be started from a profile card or in the app’s settings.
- Users will be able to share their unique matchmaking link with up to 15 people in a 24-hour period.
- The matchmakers don’t have to be Tinder users and they’ll have 24 hours to recommend profiles for the user.
- They’ll be able to swipe right on profiles they’d recommend and swipe left on those they don’t think are a good match.
- After the 24 hours are up, the Tinder user will be able to see the profiles their matchmakers like for them, but they’ll still have the final word on their matches.
Fortunately, they will not be able to send messages, so your parents can’t do anything cringey you will most absolutely regret.
Matchmaker is available now in the U.S., so get to sharing that link with Mom, Dad, and Aunt Cathy!
