An act of kindness really paid off for the Marion Military Institute in Alabama.
A former student reached out to the school looking for a copy of a 1969 yearbook after he lost his. They didn’t have an extra one around, but a few weeks later, another graduate coincidentally found a box of yearbooks from MMI at a thrift store and donated them to the school. As fate would have it, there was a 1969 yearbook in the collection and the school mailed it to the former student, Dr. George Rapier.
Grateful for the gift, he reached out to school officials about making a donation to the school, the first he’s ever made. And they were shocked when they received a check from him for $1-million!
