A World War II Navy veteran got to take to the skies to celebrate his recent birthday. Norman Langeliers just turned 94 and thanks to the nonprofit Grounded No More Inc, he was able to take a flight in a rare aircraft, a Fairchild PT-26 trainer built in 1943 named “Amazing Grace.”
The plane took off in Mesa, Arizona, with Grounded No More’s CEO Tony Anger as pilot as Langelier’s family members, friends and Patriot Guard Riders cheered. Anger and his team of volunteers spend their weekends honoring those who served our country and Langelier was the nonprofit’s 430th veteran flight.
