Do you know the difference between a wolf and a regular old dog? Well, a zoo in central China has been hoping visitors can’t, raising eyebrows as it was caught trying to pass off a Rottweiler as a wolf.
A video of the zoo in Hubei province popped up on social media last week, where a visitor pays a visit to the wolf enclosure. But what you see in the video clearly isn’t a wolf, it’s a cute Rottweiler laying on its side in the cage. “Woof! Are you a wolf?” the visitor says in the video that’s since gone viral.
The zoo has confirmed that the dog was only a placeholder, since the actual wolf had “died of old age.” They’ve since been forced to take down the misleading “Wolf” sign.
