Hundreds Canadians were treated to a surprise from a Secret Santa on Christmas Eve. The unknown person left envelopes with an inspirational poem and $250 gift card on about 400 doorsteps in the city of Edmonton which brought unexpected cheer to those living inside after a hard year.
“Whatever it is that you set out to do, remember to just believe in you,” the poem reads. “Don’t need this? Please pass the baton, for that is the way hope carries on.”
The CBC reached out to an email listed at the bottom of the poem, and the donor replied, saying they'd like to remain anonymous.
