They say that kids are resilient, but the kids that live in the small Russian settlement of Oymyakon may just be the most resilient group of them all. Kids in this part of the world live in what is recognized as the coldest permanently inhabited settlement on Earth. One would think that kids living in this region get plenty of snow days off from school but the reality is that children older than 11 only get to stay home from school if the temperature drops to -61 degrees Fahrenheit.
At -59, it's still school time. That's just not cold enough... LOL!
